Association of Black Educators of New York (ABENY) Black History Month Essay Contest is here. The topic of the Black History Month Essay Contest for 2013 is "Black Women in History---Leaders and Trailblazers." All students in grades 2 – 10 are encouraged to participate.

NBCU Fall '12 Internship Opportunities STILL Available!!
 
There are MANY internship opportunities available throughout the NBCU company in the Fall Internship Program including Bravo, iVillage, Oxygen, MSNBC, Weekend Today, and many more!!  If you are looking for an internship this fall, then Campus 2 Career would love to hear from you! Required Qualifications
·         In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree
·         Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
·         Eligible to receive academic credit
·         Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
·         Note: Must be 18 years of age or older
·         Authorized to participate in an unpaid internship in the U.S.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
·         Previous work experience in an office environment
·         Previous internship experience

FREE Online Course - Keys to Success


Longwood University, a small State University in Farmville, VA, is offering a free class to High School Juniors and Seniors (Freshman and Sophomores are welcome if interested).  They have a new President and she is passionate about giving back to the community. 

An online course (click here to see the flyer or visit determinedfuture.com) to teach High School students the skills that businesses want them to have to be successful in future careers, and what they need to do to be successful in college.   

The class is amazing: it has rich and interactive content, badges and achievements, and there are no strings attached.  The class has a capacity to enroll 5000.

One must register by September 16, 2012.
The first class starts on October 1, 2012.
